About Hotbacteria!
I am a crazy molecular Biologist with whimsical ideas in his crackpot brain and an unquenchable thirst to learn Science, Cultures, languages and Traditions...
They call me Tarun. I am a Graduate Student in Human Genomics at National Center for Human Genome Studies & Research, India.
Two things rule my mind.. Music & research.. When I say research, I would like to mention John Cage's words: "I don't know why people are frightened of new ideas; I am frightened of old ones"
Hmmmm... I guess.. I am a simple guy with a simple living.. who has recently stopped worrying about his future. I have decided not to go abroad for PhD anymore for now I think that a caring & understanding guide, homely & religious environment, and living near to parents is much more important than anything else.
Quite recently, I have started to have religious inclinations and since then, I have made it a habit to pay a visit to University Temple and Gurudwara daily. I find peace there and the chants and mantras there work as a strong stress breaker for me. I got the holy "Bhagvad Gita" along with my degree on my bachelor's convocation. I find it extremely guiding whenever I am in dilemma.
I love to learn new languages, cultures and traditions and make friends from all walks of life so that I can make myself familier with different colours of life. I have a strong appreciation for Nature and a passion for Science.
I crave to explore this world as much as I can and I whole heartedly extend an invitation to you all to come to my India and see its rich culture and diverse traditions and cherish its beautiful landscapes.
